The Königin-Luise-Stiftung is a historic educational foundation based in Berlin-Dahlem, running three state-recognized schools, a Grundschule (primary school), an Integrierte Sekundarschule (with gymnasial upper level) and a Gymnasium, plus a youth boarding facility (Internat). Together they form a comprehensive private school campus serving around 900 students today.
Problem
The absence of a digital application process required families to submit documents in person or by post, making the application journey unnecessarily time-consuming and inconvenient.
Unstructured and overwhelming information made it difficult for users to find answers, resulting in a high volume of calls about details already published on the website.
The lack of a search function prevented users from quickly finding specific information, further increasing frustration and unnecessary inquiries.
The lack of engaging visual content failed to communicate the school’s atmosphere and daily life, limiting its ability to attract prospective students and families.
An outdated and old-fashioned website design did not meet modern usability or aesthetic expectations, reducing overall appeal and credibility.
Process & Goals
Define target audiences and analyze the existing website to identify usability, content, and technical issues.
Develop a new website concept including sitemap and wireframes.
Design a modern visual system with updated colors, typography, and key page mockups, incorporating stakeholder feedback.
Improve the overall user experience (UX) to increase engagement and conversion rates.
Introduce new functionalities such as contact forms, configurators, and interactive features to better support user needs.
Ensure a fully responsive design that delivers a consistent and accessible experience across all devices.
